New York: Leslie Fulenwider, Inc, 1929. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. 16mo, 39pp. A crisp, clean copy, near fine, with the inner hinges just starting, but holding. In the scarce dust jacket, slightly spotted and dust-soiled, with a few small nicks and chips. One of the scarcest books in the Keller bibliography. Per the description printed on the jacket cover: "Upon the pages of this little book the author has set her thoughts. It is her hope that they may help to comfort those whose day is darkened." Though Keller was famously a committed socialist, there is a distinctly religious and spiritual aspect to these "thoughts." Keller was influenced by Swedenborgianism, and there is a kind of eclectic Christian character to much of the writing here. However, she also approvingly quotes the famous agnostic Robert G. Ingersoll. .
