Dr. Mary was born in 1902 in Phillipsburg and from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1930 and a few years later returned to Phillipsburg to begin a medical practice in the midst of the Dust Bowl. This book covers her early life in Phillipsburg, her life as a doctor, some of her practical advice, and many letters of compliment and thanks from famous people and many locals too. A great look at the "old school" physician who worked in the community, made house calls, delivered babies, and did not rely on tests and instruments for medical diagnoses and treatments. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
