Fine light brown cloth with gilt sp. lettering. xvi + 622; prev. owner's sig. and tipped in sm. price label to fr. paste-down, otherwise virtually pristine. 1st published in 1843 this is a 'new impression' gf the 8th, 1872, ed. Numerous subsequent impressions were undoubtedly issued as this has always been considered a work of major importance, but not listed. 13 cm x 19 cm
