Paris,: Victor Masson,, 1859.. [iv], iv, 407, [i] pp. Large 8vo (14,5 x 23 cm.). Original printed wrappers, uncut. With 2 lithographed plates by Pochet, printed at the presses of Lemercier. Early literature on anthrax in bookform is rare. The present work, with an historical introductions, is a throughly analysis of the subject. Both human an animal diseases are considered. "The author, together with Davaine, established the etiological connection between the disease in humans and animals for the first time" (Wilson & Miles, 1964). Copy with ample margins, printed on vélin.-- (A minute wormhole in the inner margin of the last few gatherings, but a very good and clean copy).
