About This Item
London: Hutchinson & Co, [1949]. Diana Younger. First edition. INSCRIBED on title page, "For Diana and Went / With fondest love from Dennis." Diana Younger was Dennis's stepdaughter and they remained close all his life. She illustrated the dust jacket for his 1938 book, THE GOLDEN SPANIARD as well as endpapers for several others. Black cloth shows some minor wear spots, but still very good in good or better dust jacket with minor darkening on (two) edges of rear panel, red lettering on spine faded and barely readable, and a little chipping on spine ends. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED
