This work is a reissed extract from "Peaks, Passes and Glaciers" edited by John Ball, President of the Alpine Club. The author was a local director of the Geological Survey of Great Britain, Professor of Geology at the Government School of Mines, and a noted glacial geomorphologist. (10), 116, (4) pp.
