Greenwich, Connecticut: Gold Medal Books / Fawcett Publications, 1960. Softcover. Near Fine. First edition, paperback original. Perfecbound in wrappers. Near fine with some rubbing and edgewear. Signed by Aldrich on the title page and Signed again by Patricia Highsmith at her contribution. A collection of essays and excerpts about lesbians and lesbian life, including several by Aldrich (Meaker). This book also notably includes the final chapter from *The Price of Salt*, entitled "Carol, in a Thousand Cities," from the pseudonymously published lesbian novel written by Highsmith in 1952, which inspired this collection's title. Meaker was in a relationship with Highsmith for several years, but by this time had parted ways with Highsmith. A nice association copy. Gold Medal Book d1009.
