In overall good used condition with minor signs of age, handling and storage - blue cloth boards with contrasting cream cloth spine, rubbed to edges and spine slightly tanned. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; toning to page-ends but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Photographs available. Not an old library book.

This is a presentation copy from the author to Merrie Caine together with two long handwritten letters from Dell to Caine relating to travel, one dated 15 VI 25 on "The Morning Post" headed notepaper 4pp, and one from SS Ionia dated "Empire Day" 4pp. The volume is a good example of this work of travel writing, exploring the Greek Islands. With map and illustrations from photographs by the author and M. Roger Dell, 24 plates. 226pp..
