Fahrenheit 451 facsimile dust jacket for the 1967 "black edition" A facsimile dust jacket for the 1967 "black first edition" published by Simon and Schuster of New York. Subsequent printings also utilized the same black dust jacket design. The book will be black and have the spine in gold. There also was a book club edition issued in this same format but not with the gold spine and did not have the price on the jacket flap. This facsimile dust jacket could be used for that edition, but will have to be re-sized. If so, please let us know. As always, the dust jacket will have a signed label by artist-restorer John Anthony Miller affixed to the verso of the jacket stating that it is a facsimile jacket. This jacket comes trimmed, enclosed in Mylar, folded and ready to put on to your copy of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451.

This particular rendition was done after and in the style of the 1953 hardback edition after the fantastic Joseph Mugnaini dust jacket art. I added a few modifications to bring it up to speed, like the modified title and new publisher. I left the rest along, as much as possible to reflect the spirit of the original 1953 first edition. Ray Bradbury himself APPROVED this design and ordered a stack of these jackets to give out to friends. This is the way the book should have been issued 50 years later!
