Boards have mild edge wear with light rubbing and crushing. Some light marking and tanning. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. This reprint of Biggles fifth adventure – The Black Peril – is has been significantly altered to the original printing. There is no easily ascertained date of this book's printing, but on the verso of the rear panel it states "Made and printed in Great Britain by Purnell and Sons, Ltd, Paulton (Somerset) and London”, with no SBN. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges; with, rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Very light tanning of the text block edges and pages.
