London: The Crime Club, Collins, 1952. [Modern Literature] VINTAGE HARDCOVER REPRINT. Octavo (19 x 12cm), pp.188. Publisher's blue cloth lettered in gilt to spine, typographic dust-jacket with printed price of 2/- to front cover and spine. Toning to edges of textblock and pages, rubbing to gilt, rolling and bumping to spine and corners, soiling to cloth, 1.5 x 2cm chip to crown of jacket spine, 2.5cm tear to base, wearing to edges, sunning to spine. Very good. Hercule Poirot is a passenger on board a flight from Paris to Croydon. Some time before landing, one of the passengers, a moneylender named Madame Giselle, is found dead. It becomes clear that the victim has been murdered. This novel was first published in 1935 by Collins, and this later, vintage reprint was published in 1952.
