Boston, Massachusetts: Carter, Hendee and Co., 1833. 98 pages; with a color frontispiece of the leaves of the mulberry tree, a color plate of the silkworm and moth and various growth stages; and a black & white plate of various reels for carding the silk fibers, including J.H. Cobb's. This 'New Edition' was published as the result of the Legislature of Massachusetts requesting more copies, and the Congress of the U.S. also, after the initial run in 1831. Front endpapers with the small bookplate ex-libris of Parker Cleaveland and his signature opposite; laid-in the text are a couple of loose scrap-papers also in a 19th century hand with further identification of the book's plates.
