The text of this tale has been revised and slightly altered from its first appearnce in The Black Dog. Tipped onto the endpaper is an A.L.s., from Coppard, dated 12/1/30, to Mr. Tupper, regarding his presence at an upcoming Broadside Club meeting. With the small bookplate of Albert Sperisen of the Black Vine Press. Stray glue marks f where the letter has previously been tipped in, spine slightly sunned, else very good or better. No wrapper. Letter has browned, and has several creases.
