Hodder and Stoughton, 1952. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1952. First Edition. 256 pages. Black and white photographic dust jacket over green cloth with a photographic black and white frontis and plates throughout. Minor tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and heavier foxing and tanning to text block edges. Boards have minor rubbing and light bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and boards are bowed. Unclipped jacket with heavy edge wear and splitting to joints. There is visible tearing to corners, edges and spine ends and major foxing to interior.

Pages bright with some tanning and foxing, particularly to textblock edges and endpapers. Binding remains firm. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf wear with minor corner bumping and crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with tears, chipping, rubbing and marking.
