There are a few tiny white spots on the covers & spine. They are very small and cosmetic only as the interior is very clean, no markings, not ex-lib. Two introductions, one by the editor Edwin James and one by Noel Loomis. One of the finest Indian captivity narratives.

Edgewear, corners bumped, ink name to front pastedown, light marginalia in pencil, binding sound; very good. Dujstjacket scuffed, with considerable nicking and tearing to edges, now protected with plastic brodart sleeve. Copy No. 458 of 2000. When published in 1830, this memoir was a popular success and considered an important historical record. A contemporary lens casts new light.
