UK: Macmillan, 1947. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Cloth. Good ++. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Stuart Tresilian. 1st Edition 1947. Illustrated by Stuart Tresilian. Signed by the author. Wonderful Provenance: Joyce Clark, thence by descent. Joy Clark born 1937 grew up in Beaconsfield with her parents Isabella and Cecil Clark. The Clark's ran an ironmonger's shop in the town and Enid Blyton was a regular customer. For many years whenever one of her books was published, Blyton would kindly sign and give a book to Joy, who was a small child at the time. Book is very good and bright. Light marking to cloth. Contents quite good with a number of pages have been cleaned due to colouring in. More images can be taken upon request. Ref16411/16491
