White in 1988. Rabenseifner ran a machine business in Fulda, Germany. Fulda is famous for the Fulda Gap, the place where a Soviet invasion of Western Europe would have taken place had WWIII happened. Stationed at Fulda in 1988 was US Army Colonel Thomas E. White. White later became an executive at Enron where he was accused of improperly using his army connections to land no-bid contracts for Enron. White sold his Enron shares for $12 million before the company's collapse. White became the Secretary of the Army under Bush II and Donald Rumsfeld. He was fired by Rumsfeld for disagreeing with Rumsfield over the Crusader system and for refusing to publicly admonish Shinseki for his comments to Congress about needing hundreds of thousands of troops to effectively control Iraq.
