X, 199 pp. With color plates by Maxfield Parrish throughout, all present as called for. A collection of poetry for children, accompanied by classic illustrations throughout. GOOD condition. Front cover pastedown illustration rather scuffed and faded, with moderate fading and some scuffing to the cloth. Minor general soiling. Moderate scuffing to the cloth along the hinges and extremities, with some pulling and tearing at the head of the spine. Front interior hinge cracked, with the cover beginning to separate. Owner's signature on the first endpaper. Text block toned. Scattered soiling in the interior.

Light wear to the binding; previous owner name and pencil scrawl on the front endpaper; a few instances of pencil in the text; light foxing to the leaves adjacent to the plates, else clean; rear hinge has been discretely mended. A reasonably nice copy of this classic with striking Parrish illustrations.
