The dust jacket is very worn along the edges and torn in several places. The hardcover beneath it is faded along the edges, and the binding is starting to come loose. There is some quite severe foxing visible on the inside pages.

The dust wrapper, by Kenneth Farnhill, has one closed tear to the rear panel and some light handling marks throughout. It has not been price clipped (21s. net). The boards are free from notable chips and marks, with a slight and consistent crease at the spine. The internals are clean, but slightly foxed at the front and rear preliminaries. The text blocks are also so slightly foxed at the side edge. This copy is free from inscriptions and is, overall, in very good (or better) condition.
