New York: The Crime Club By Doubleday & Co., 1947. First American Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. This is a stated first edition. The interior is clean and tight. The paper has tanned slightly, but there are no marks or wear. The beige covers are fresh, with minor wear at tips and corners, and a very small brown stain at the top of the spine area. This should be visible in one of the attached scans. The dust jacket, however is only in Good condition. It is not price-clipped ($2.00), but there is significant wear and damage to the top and bottom of the spine. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. the jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. DJ formerly taped to boards, leaving residue. Now in new mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Good/Fair.

Garden City: Doubleday, Doran / The Crime Club, 1947. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First American edition. A small bookstore label on the front fly, pages toned, near fine in very good dustwrapper with a couple of internally repaired short tears. Jacket art by Storch.

London: Macdonald, 1947. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's red boards with title and author in silver and publisher in black, to the spine. A bright and clean copy with a dusty top edge and some foxing to the fore-edge. Overall VG indeed. The dustwrapper is also VG indeed and is priced 8/6 net to the inside flap (as called for). It is rubbed to the spine tips and the edges of the spine with several pieces of totally unnecessary tape reinforcement to the verso. Looks nicer than it sounds. A Joshua Clunk story.
