Boston/New York: Houghton Mifflin Company. Very Good+. 1929. First Edition. Hardcover. (no dust jacket) [a nice solid copy with only modest wear to the extremities; vintage bookplate on front pastedown and related gift inscription (non-authorial) on half-title page (see Notes)]. (color frontispiece, B&W photographs) Boldly SIGNED by the author (no inscription) on the front endpaper. A clean and nice-looking copy of this important early cowboy star's memoir of Hollywood and the West, listed in "100 Books on Hollywood and the Movies." The bookplate is that of one James B. Rogers, who is also the inscribee of the (non-authorial) gift inscription on the half-title page, which reads: "To Jimmie / Xmas 1929 / J.R. Morrison." Laid in are a couple of Hart-related newspaper clippings, and a clipped copy of an article about the actor from "Films in Review" magazine. Signed by Author .
