The three tipped colour plates are by William Blamire Young, the Cambridge graduate and mathematics teacher from the Blue Mountains who became noted for his watercolours: 'poster-like, romantic, poetic and remarkable otherwise for the complexity and their techniques" (McCulloch). Small quarto, vivid tipped plates, top-edge gilt; original gilt lettered cloth; an immaculate copy in a fine dust-jacket.
