Description:
Young People's Missionary Movement, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Octavo. Photo Endpapers. Includes two previously published poems by Paul Lawrence Dunbar. From the library of African-American publisher John H. Johnson, with his stamp on the endpaper and no other marks. With few resources for journalist research on topics of Black interest, Johnson built an in-house library which was used by notable authors such as Langston Hughes. A nice association copy and historical relic. Minor bump to bottom edge of front cover, otherwise a very good copy.
