Volume II with frontispiece etching of Lamb by James Fagan after painting by Meyer. Volume III with signed etching of Russell Street, Covent Garden. Volume IV without frontispiece. Volume V with frontispiece of signed etching of The Cottage at Edmonton. The artist is W(illiam) H(enry) W(arren) Bickwell (1860-1947). Scuffing at corners to all volumes. Scattered foxing in all volumes. Artistic bookplate of William S. Morse (1856-1935), noted collector Americana, in each volume.

Boston: The Bibliophile Society, 1905. Used - Acceptable. 1905. Paper covered boards. Five volume set. First volume folio, other volumes quarto. From a limited printing of 470 copies. Illustrated. Each volume encased in a double slipcase. First volume's slipcase is severely damaged, with multiple pieces detached. Slipcases of other volumes noticeably worn and smudged, with deep toning and chipping to title labels. Mild shelf wear to boards. Bindings are sound. Significant foxing to pages which remain otherwise clean and unmarked. Altogether a complete set with very sound volumes within rather worn slipcases. (Subject: Literary Criticism.)
