Spine sunned and a little scuffed and very light scuffing to the board edges and light foxing to the first and last blank, but overall a very good, clean copy. A new edition, enlarged and corrected.

A very good copy. A disciple of David Ricardo, McCulloch has been described as the "first professional economist" (ODNB) for his large body of writing on the subject. The origins of this work lie in his entry on political economy for the 1822 edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, much praised by Ricardo and expanded into the first edition published in 1825. This revised and further extended edition appeared five years later with three subsequent editions appearing thereafter.
