Tight and square, fading to tips of spine, light foxing to edges and endpapers, small store stamp in front, small tear to edge of one text page. Dust jacket is price clipped, rubbed at corners and folds, protected in a removable clear film sleeve.

Cover cloth lightly rubbed and sunned to edge with small crease at head of spine and lightly bruised corners. Printed School Prize plate to ffep, with details completed in ink, dated 1968. Jacket a little rubbed and lightly soiled with creases head of spine. Overall a Very Good copy in like jacket. Scarce late title in the ever popular Biggles series, a tale of jewel robbery and villainy unmasked.

An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the price-clipped dustwrapper which is a little rubbed and creased to the extremities but is otherwise without loss or tears. An attractive example.
