London/Dublin: T.Fisher Unwin/Sealy, Bryers & Walker, 1895. This is a Very good copy of the First Edition, part of "The New Irish Library" that was edited by Sir Charles Gavan Duffy. Not a common book. Richard King (1839-1932) was an Irish clergyman, later a novelist, and a member of the Irish Literary Revival. Yeats had broken with Duffy but was supportive of King. Maroon cloth binding with a green spine; titling in gilt on the spine. Clean text; 204 pages, with a four-page advert in the rear. The initial chapter pages are illustrated with Celtic designs. The paper is toned but unfoxed. Light rubbing {just a touch to the tips, more so to the head of the spine]. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
