His version of the fables attracted considerable acclaim and Heinemann also published a successful trade edition and later an edition illustrated by Stephen Gooden. Boards with a little browning and minor marks, first volume slightly pulled at one opening (pp 48-49) exposing lower 6 cms of gutter, partial browning to half-titles and final text page of second volume, some foxing to rear endpapers, otherwise Good in darkened dustwrappers with heavily browned spine-panels, the dustwrappers being edgeworn with minor loss.
