In 1931 the first stories by Margaret Sturm (later Millar) and Kenneth Millar appeared in their high school magazine, The Grumbler. The stories appear here and Margaret's Grumbler contribution was a short story titled IMPROMPTU and Kenneth wrote a Sherlock Holmes pastiche called THE SOUTH SEA SOUP CO. Each story, at that early time, foreshadow the writing style for which each is remembered today. As new, unread copy.

Santa Barbara, CA: Cordelia Editions, 1982. The Master Set of long galley proofs printed on one side only with corrections in ink and signature of the editor. With the Corrected Proof Copy signed by the editor and dated by him ‘March 18, 1982.’ Included is a First Edition of one of 150 numbered copies in printed wrappers, this being Copy No. 2. These two stories were published in Macdonald’s and Millar’s high school newspaper in Ontario, The Grumbler, in 1931. Macdonald’s story, “The South Sea Soup Company” is a Sherlock Holmes parody. Millar’s story is titled “Impromptu.” All items are in fine condition.
