Pen inscription front endpaper dated 1884, only date in book, interior otherwise clean. Lithographed and printed by Ernest Nister of Nuremberg. Nister established a London office in 1888, and published several books by Robert Ellice Mack. Harriett M. Bennett was a painter and illustrator of children's books who exhibited several paintings at The Royal Academy between 1877 and 1892.
