Patrick Macrory served with the British Army during World War II, first in France, then in North Africa, and then in the Middle East. His great-great-uncle was Major Eldred Pottinger, served in the Afgan War, and his story is memorably told here. The dust jacket is intact and has been protected with a clear, removable, Brodart brand cover. It has been price clipped and there is a chip at the spine, and two tears with some creases on the back of about two inches each. 352 pages with Sources and Index.
