The plates are an interesting mix of engravings, illustrations, colour photographs and 8 fine chromolithographs by A Thorburn. Of interest to both the hunter and natural historian, this book details the life histories of several species, including the Mallard, Gadwall, Wigeon, Teal, and Pintail. 1902
