Appears to have been a gift to fellow writers on staff of the Stars and Stripes who travelled back to the states on one of the several return journeys made by the troop ship, Pretoria. Penned to the verso of the title page is a gift inscription to memebers of Squad 1 of the Stars and Stripes is singed by Jack Luckett.
