Description:
Sandy Bay: West Wind Press, 2006. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Good. Sandy Bay, West Wind Press, 2006. Large quarto, 95 pages with 60 colour plates (many full-page) reproducing photographs by Peter Dombrovskis, and a portrait of the artist (possibly by Peter Jackson). Black cloth lettered in blind on the spine and front cover; a fine copy with the very good dustwrapper (lightly scuffed on the front panel, lightly creased and bumped on the rear leading edge, with the red lettering on the spine faded to pink). The dustwrapper blurb states that 'This rare book, an exhibition of photographs' by Peter Dombrovskis (1945-1996) is 'Academically complemented by Jamie Kirkpatrick, Professor and Head of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Tasmania' (to the tune of ten pages headed 'Knowing and Being in Wild Landscapes').
