Description:
NY: Doubleday & Company, 1946 A near fine example of this NH classic. Owned by the brother of Enest Poole (Abrham Poole) and his wife Marion and gifted to him thus; "To Abram Poole from his Brother Ernest" on the front fep (Fly Paper.) Dust jacket with minor wear, unclipped: Price $3.00. No markings (other than the gift inscription) no tears or folded pages, obviously well-kept by the author's famioly members. A very nice 'First Edition' stated & signed association example in a wonderful dust wrapper. NOTE: we have recently taken an entire collection of 14 titles by E. Poole, several like-signed first editions in dust wrappers, including the very elusive: 'The Car of Croesus', 1930 & 'The Bridge', a signed 1st edition.
