Written by the the then keeper of the Department of Ceramics the collection which includes the stained glass panels from William Morris's workshop and from the Chapel of the Holy Blood Bruge are one of the most comprehensive in the world. The text includes chapters on Technique, English and French Stained Glass of the Twelfth and Thirteenth Centuries, ditto of the Fourteenth, Late Gothic and Early Renaissance Glass-Painting, German Stained Glass, Swiss, Italian, Netherlandish and Enamel- Painted -Glass etc. VG (Book- cover- light creasing to front corners but respectable clean and free from shelf wear. Board of Education, 1924. Wraps. Fair. Vol III: Enamels and Glass pp 102 + 48pp monochrome half-tone plates. No writing, but the wrappers are in a bad way, particularly the spine, which only has a small thin strip of paper left with evidence of prior taping to the edges of the covers that were attached to it. The sewn gathers are holding up, but the spine will need reinforcement to keep it from falling apart. Some soil to covers and toning to pages, but no damage aside from spine issue. No writing, and contents intact.
