Robert Hale, 1967. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1967. First Edition Thus. 272 pages. Signed by the author. Illustrated dust jacket over blue cloth covered boards with gilt. Signed by the author with dedication to front free end paper. Includes a typed letter from the author, also signed. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing. Tape repaired.

A man in the old tradition of the Royal Navy who rose through the ranks from midshipman to Admiral of the Fleet. ; Signed by Author .
