An edited transcription of the only manuscript of this uncompleted and unpublished work by Topsell, which is held in the Henry E. Huntington Library in California. The original, containing 248 leaves and 124 coloured drawings covered birds whose names began with A, B, and C. This transcription concentrates on the wild birds included in the original and 61 of the coloured drawings are reproduced.
