Alfred A. Knopf, 1934. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Octavo. W.A. Dwiggins. Stated first printing of the first one-volume edition of Wells' seven famous Science Fiction novels, with an original preface by the author. In the rare W.A. Dwiggins dust jacket which features a scene from The War of the Worlds. Book is fine and unmarked. Jacket is very good, clean and bright, the only flaw a `1/2"" horizontal chip across the top of the spine not affecting the text. Protected by an archival Mylar jacket cover, this a very attractive, solid copy of an extremely scarce Wells item.
