Firm binding, interior generally clean though a bit toned, with very scattered soiling/foxing most evident on flyleaves and early/late leaves, nothing of significance. Small area of surface paper loss at lower front corner. Former owner signature on front pastedown. Undated edition, given as 41st on lower title page. Broken type on copyright page, appears to have been copyrighted 1846. Original publisher's announcement tipped in on front flyleaf details a new work by the same author to appear early in 1860, implying this edition to be ca. 1859..
