Blue-gray publisher’s cloth, gilt lettering, maps on endpapers, w/ d.j. cover art photo of climber by Bob & Ira Spring (minor edgewear, couple closed tears), still NF/NF copy, w/ former ownership markings on ffep. First edition stated, of this comprehensive work on the Olympic National Park, and mountains. Wood is perhaps best remembered for publishing with The Mountaineers on O’Neil’s expedition, which included for the first time an unpublished diary of the 1890 expedition kept by Private Harry Fisher, Company G, 14th Infantry, a member of the expedition party.
