A science fiction classic, one of the the grandfathers of the satirical futuristic dystopia genre, WE was banned in Russia in 1921and first published in English in 1924 by E. P. Dutton in New York in a translation by Gregory Zilboorg. The German TV network ZDF adapted the novel for a TV movie in 1982, under the German title Wir (English: WE).. First British Edition. Cloth. Russian novelist Yevgeny Zamyatin's masterpiece: "a remarkable Utopian fantasy, a landmark in world literature, the precursor of and almost certainly the model for 'Brave New World' and '1984'...
