Good. hardback. 1st Edition. hardback, octavo, bound in a textured vinyl lettered gilt, one of the two variations of the first edition, this variant being bound in an unnumbered limitation, the vinyl has lifted form the upper board and there is a small water mark to the spine which shows through to the gutters of the endpapers, the paper is surprisingly clean and bright, minor offsetting from the frontis portrait, illustrated, 56pp.

Very good, unusual binding, almost always found in wraps -- possibly presentation bindings that the family retained -- although not stated, from the collection of Douglas Mauldin, proprietor of the reconstituted Derrydale Press, which would published many Zane Grey titles as well as Loren's "Zane Grey's Oddysey.
