Also included is a section on hunting, primarily relating to foxes and the training of dogs. GOOD condition, apparently disbound from a larger volume. LACKING wrap on spine. Moderate foxing to the covers, with some soiling and general fading. Interior solid with browning along the extremities and scattered foxing/minor staining throughout.

Contains 10 illsutrations of famous racing and breeding horses of the period---Lottery, Autocrat, Priam, Trifle, Industry, Reality, Wild Bill, Tramp, Emilius(sic?) & Glencoe. Two horse illustrations missing pieces at upper left possibly torn off to serve as bookmarks with pieces now lost. Several horse images traced on verso of tissue sheet not affecting the images themselves. Image page of Industry missing 5"x1/2" strip along top. Images of horses themselves are NOT affected only the borders. Two breeding geneaologies penciled in at rear flyleaves and another more extensive one at verso of front flyleaf. Period owners' signatures in pencil at second front flyleaf. 592pgs minus 4 missing. .
