Even age-toning to edges of page-block. Crack to hinge. Note pages up to 64 are more or less detached...but extant. Former owner's details to ffep. Contents pages has several very small tears. Otherwise pages are very clean. Re-binding with a new ffep and tidied up Contents page would result in a good copy. 382pp plus index.

Green cloth covered boards with gold titles and cover illustrations; edges and covers worn and rubbed, with boards exposed at corners; 12mo 6 3/4" - 7 3/4" Tall. Endpapers soiled; some toning and finger smudges at edges; Previous owner's name at top of Preface; spotting on first few pages and again on pages at rear of book; a few gutter gaps; with most serious at page 211 causing partial detachment of pages 211-214, 448 pages.

Interesting cookbook, published for English Residents in India. In this Second Edition 2 New Chapters on Curries and Pelaus have been added, also several other recipes and various corrections made. Black half-leather cover. Some edge wear to leather. Ffep missing. Traces of old label removed from endpaper. Small lead pencil marks on contents page, no other inscriptions.
