Bozeman, MT: Montana State University, 1982.. 2 pages stapled at the corner. 4to. In the Spring of 1982 Paul Ferlazzo then Chair of English at Montana State University invited Brautigan to teach a class there. Brautigan, Ferlazzo, and others have signed the contract. Near fine.

SF: Four Seasons, [1968].. First edition of this trade Paperback Original (there was also a small cloth edition of 50 copies). Contemporary signature by Brautigan: "Richard Brautigan / March 18, 1969." Near fine. Scarce signed and more so with an early signature.

[NY: Dell, 1972].. Mass market paperback. Later printing. Signed by Brautigan. Very good minus, some wear to covers, mostly at the edges, some small handling creases, binding tight and solid. An affordable way to obtain a signed copy of Brautigan's most famous book.

Livingston, MT: Best Western, 1979.. The placemat is inscribed: "For Dale / Have a nice Autumn / Richard Brautigan / Livingston / September 11, 1979." Creased where folded in eighths, else fine. Unusual Brautigan ephemera.

Livingston: First Security Bank, 1981.. Brautigan's name and address in Livingston are printed at the top. The check is written entirely in Brautigan's hand and signed by him. It's made out to "Internal Revenue Service" for $3000. Stamped on the front by the bank, touching the signature but not affecting readability, else fine.

n.p.: Privately published, 1967.. 4to. The event was scheduled to take place at Cal State's Winnett Lounge as part of Brautigan's stay as Poet in Residence, 1967. Printed in black on orange stock. Very fine.

No place: no publisher, n.d.. 4to. Broadside poem. Bootleg facsimile mimeoed in purple ink. This broadside was originally published by the Communication Company in the Haight-Ashbury during the "Summer of Love." This item was among Brautigan's personal possessions for many years so we believe this was done roughly contemporaneous with the original. Very fine.

Cambridge, MA: Quincy Poetry Forum, 1969.. Printed in black utilizing various-sized fonts on white card stock. Fine. It's likely that not many of these were produced for this small venue.

SF: Privately published, 1960.. 4to. An exceptionally early piece of Brautigan ephemera. This 1960 reading (where Brautigan received second billing) is the second earliest reading by him that we've ever seen an announcement for. Printed in black on white stock. A fine copy of a scarce, very early handbill.

Berkeley: Book People, 1969.. 4to. The event is scheduled to take place at Book People's warehouse in Berkeley where attendees are invited to "Share an afternoon with Richard Brautigan..." Illustrated with a small cartoonish drawing of Brautigan. Printed in black on yellow stock with the text reproduced in holograph. Fine.

n.p.: James Musser & Burton Weiss, 1996.. Originally produced to accompany the lettered and 6-copy deluxe edition of I Watched the World Glide Effortlessly Bye and Other Pieces, this is one of only two unnumbered copies from a small publisher's overrun. As new.
