Very nice edition of this ever-popular collection of short pieces. (Text in German). Book in good condition. Boards generally rubbed and some wear around edges and spine. Paper rather toned. Occasional fingering suggestions etc added to a small number of the pieces.

A complete guide to viol technique with much of value to both beginner and the more experienced player. Book in very good condition. This is an ex-library copy so comes with the usual Library stamps etc. Small piece of tape on spine to (presumably) cover the Dewey number and a library bar code to rear cover. Apart from the Library stamps etc, the book is free of annotations and other extraneous marks. A clean and very sound copy of the book.

It is not designed to be a step-by-step tutor for beginners, nor is it another book of tunes and exercises. Rather, each section of the book covers particular aspects of technique. The main sections of the book are: Basics (holding the instrument and the bow), Bowing, Fingering, the Music, Preparing to Play, Conclusion, Treatises and Sources, Web Pages, Glossary of Terms, Index etc. Fine and seems unused.
