Spine and covers completely robust, very, very slight wear on top right corner and top edge. Gilt on outer edges is in fine condition. Vignette title page and 39 plates, all present and protected by tissue pages. One plate is loose and binding of introductory pages is slightly loosening. No inscription. Unpageinated.

Gilt on spine remains in bright condition; corners on cover turning in. Ex-library markings on inside cover & foot of spine. Contents clean and no inscription, outer edges softening. Good, clean copy.

Paternoster Square, London: Kegan Paul, Trench & Co., 1883. 4th Edition. Hardcover. Used - Very Good. Very good condition, gilt on the spine remains bright and the boards and binding are intact. There is foxing on the page outer edges but the contents themselves are perfect. There is slight wear on the top and bottom of the spine.

Leadenhall Street, London: William H. Allen & Co., 1852. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Used - Good. Boards show wear but are perfectly intact. First few pages are loose but otherwise contents remain strongly bound. Pages are yellowing but not heavily though there is wear on the extremities.

London: Hutchinson & Co. Ltd., 1967. Hardcover. Used - Very Good. Great condition, protected by plastic sheet around the dustcover. Contents and binding perfect. Swinson's style is to write very clearly and he conveys complex military issues in a very readable way.

London: The Folio Society, 1962. Hardcover. Used - Very Good. Mutiny Medal and clasp on front board in excellent condition. Very mild foxing on extremities but contents are in very good condition and binding perfect. Book is in protected in a box which has helped maintain the book overall though there is wear at the bottom of the spine.

Paternoster Row, London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green, 1824. 2nd edition, with additions. leatherbound. Used - Very Good . Interesting as the book is written in 1824 so depicts the early days of British involvement in India, some thirty years before the Mutiny and the Raj days. The author also wrote books on the Spanish Peninsula and Italy & Egypt. Leatherbound, with the corners also protected by leather, the book is in excellent condition. Unmarked throughout, except for light inscriptions by previous owners on the inside front cover. Quite slight tanning and foxing on the outer edges but overall, excellent condition.

Paternoster Row, London: Hutchinson & Co. Ltd., 1924. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Used - Very Good. Book is in very good condition, contents fine with a little foxing. Boards fine also with corners slightly bending in. As well as the hunting and wildlife, the author describes the tribes of the north east and gives tales of his service, including of a murder and ghost stories.

William Blackwood & Sons, 1912. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Used - Very Good. Very good condition. Spine, binding and cover all fine. Contents unmarked, with two inscriptions, one by 'Nan', and one by potentially the author. Top and bottom of spine softening. Gilt on spine and cover in good condition. N
