San Francisco: The National Rifle Association of America, 1951. Pamphlet. Unpaginated, about eighteen pages, features statistical tables and two vignette photoportraits of current champs, male & female. The guy hadn't won previously, while the woman had won three of the last four competitions. Nice copy, a 9x6 inch pamphlet in terracotta pink wraps titled & decorated in black. Sound, clean and unmarked. The first such annual to be held west of the Rocky Mountains.

Boulder: Westview Press, 1985. Paperback. xvii, illustrated with tables, text is reproduced from a keyboard-set ms, softbound in flexible 8.5x5.5 inch cardstock wraps. Westview special studies on the middle east and north Africa.

Washington DC: Department of Commerce and Labor, 1903. Pamphlet. 34p., illustrated with tables plus photos and diagrammatic renderings of automatic tabulating machines, presswork on glazed alkaline paperstock and staple-bound in 8x5 inch tobacco-brown wraps printed in brown ink. Front cover bears several owner/seller numerals in unerasable pencil, back cover has five tiny punctures similar to but not the same as silverfishing (with odd offsets to terminal leaf beneath each hole. Also find a faint trace of minor dampstain and marginal creasing to terminal leaves. Staples mildly rusted. A good copy. The successive devices to aid tabulation are not your usual book illustrations; these were not present in item's first appearance in The Century, while a few paragraphs in the magazine have been omitted.

Newcastle NSW: Newcastle Public Library / The Council of the City of Newcastle, 1969. Pamphlet. 81p., b&w plates as called for plus a simple line map, text reproduced from typescript, semi-glazed alkaline paper, softbound in 9x6 inch plain printed wraps. One corner-tip bears a touch of offset color, but beyond that, item is next to fine: sound, otherwise clean, and unmarked. Newcastle History monographs no,. 5.

Hermosillo Sonora: Universidad de Hermosillo / Veritas, 1991. Paperback. 123p., scattered cartoon sketch illustrations, questionaires and tables; paperbound in 7.5x5 inch glossy color wraps. On the back cover a corner-tip is torn away, an otherwise sound copy, entirely clean within. There are about forty pages of questionaire and analysis, including a line map of the city indicating what neighborhood listens to which sort of music.

Berkeley: University of California Press, 1978. Map. Unpaginated text, about 25p., an 11x8.5 inch pamphlet in tan wraps titled brown, illustrated with numerous tables, contemporary site photos (rough landscapes), old & new line maps, a few period images, and the featured map that is pasted (by its margin only) into the rear cover : this main map is enormous, measuring approx. 21x32 inches, folded multiple times to fit, presswork in shades of tan with black and red detailing, a lovely map with a light crimp in the middle where we mis-handled the monster. Weeks, the director, urges further work; the item in hand scratches only the surface. Pamphlet covers are partly split at the spinefold and are a little edgeworn. A good to very good copy.

Berkeley: Institute of International Studies, 1965. Paperback. Unpaginated preliminaries, 187p., numerous tables and graphs throughout the text, softbound in 9x6 inch plain printed wraps. Cover has mild edgewear, pressure marks, and a small repaired tear at the heel of the spine; inside find an old paperclip "bookmark" we chose not to remove, and an ownership stamp. A good, useable copy. Research series no. 7.

Friday Harbor WA: Copernicus Healthcare, 2011. Paperback. 231p., illustrated with charts and tables, softbound first edition (a paper original) in 9x6 inch glossy wraps. Presentable copy with some multicolor hi-lites in the first chapter, else unmarked, and entirely sound and clean. Critique of our "unaccountable market- driven nonsystem"; find a brief Geyman inscription signed as "John" on a page of enthusiastic blurbs.

Berkeley: Human Rights Center; University of California, 2010. Pamphlet. 41p., illustrated with numerous tables based on oral responses (does respondent want revenge? money? livestock? &c), softbound in 11x8.5 inch stapled wraps; clean, sound and unmarked, a very good copy.

Winnipeg: Ukrainian Canadian Committee, 1945. 164p., charts and lists, very little pure text, first edition 8.5x5.5 inch titled blue wraps, good copy. The author is a statistician and accountant.

Ciudad Industrial, Aguascalientes: INEGI/Instituto Nacional de Estadistica Geografica e Informatica, 1990. 21p., 5.5x8.5 inches, text in Spanish, profusely illustrated with cartoon figures, tables and graphs, very good informational booklet in stapled pictorial wraps, three folded brochures laid-in. On the benefits of statistics to the worker in Mexico.

Paris: Imprimerie Moderne for Parti Republicain Radical & Radical-Socialiste, 1930. Pamphlet. 35p., presswork on mildly acidic paperstock, softbound, a pamphlet staplebound in 9.5x6.5 inch plain printed wraps. Quite worn; spinefold is abraded with a short split, the whole dusty and edgeworn with pressure marks and a tiny dot of stain on blank back cover, paper toned, some small dog ears, one pressure mark has dented a dozen leaves. Reading copy: generally sound otherwise, generally clean, no written marks.

Paperback. vii, 39p., 8.5x11 inches, summary, methodology, profile of users, conclusions and implications, notes, appendixtables and figures, very good report booklet in stapled blue wraps with black cloth tape spine. Cairo: Egyptian S T A., 1954. Paperback. 87p., appended tables (another 25p.), rubricated captions and decorations on newsprint, softbound in 7.5x5.5 inch booklet wraps. The newsprint text paper is partially alkaline and not too toned, cover is clean and unmussed, a very good copy. Contents deal solely with matters Egyptian; the cover blurb appears to have been executed for a 1954 American Society of Travel Agents convention in --where else? where many of us have left our hearts: cable cars, shopping carts, bars bars bars.
