Exceedingly rare from this Publisher. The Irish illustrator Rene Bull unleashed an exuberant energy in his work that meshed well with the exotic themes and settings of his masterpieces. No date and no edn specified but pre-1928. New spine with printed title; all cnrs rubbed and edges somewhat scuffed. 190pp; b&w illus in text; 4 col plates complete.

Some blemishes on cnrs and rear cover have been touched up; a blank Ex Libris covers a prev owner's name. New printed titles on spine. Col illustrations on every page. Very Rare.

Some child's scribbles on front cover have been painted over.

An ex library copy with all stamps and labels removed except first 3 letters of the author's surname on rear cover; rebound in library style in hard cover with gilt title on front; printed paper title on spine; some restoration and cleaning has been done but there might be a few grubby marks remaining.
Spine and top edge are faded. Title on spine in "silver." Unmarked. Line dwgs in text. A lovely story of belief and motivation.
